I'm not quite sure where to put this.

This is Lizzy. Her "birth" was not an easy one as she was not even planned.
If you are interested in more details about the process and more pictures, they are on my blog

I love the technique you've used here. I've never worked with polymer clay, would like to have a go in my artworks. I love that you've threaded beads in with the wire, it gives a lovely affect. I think her hair could have been made of wire too maybe.

I have been trying to use wire and polymer clay together, but even after baking, varnishing etc. I never feel safe about it holding together right. Whenever I make a clay head (counting all the attempts that went into the scrap pile afterwards, too), the ladies end up with their hair in a bun.
Probably because that is something I just can't do with my own hair because it's heavy and keeps falling down?

I'll think about how I can do it with wire

Thanks, Marilyn. Crochet and beads just go together so well, it's addictive!

I really think wire would work well for the hair Cat. You could also give them a hat maybe? Get round the idea altogether?
