I make dollhouse miniatures. So naturally I'm comfortable in making things in smaller scale, very small scale. I have a natural affinity to shabby chic home decor things, and so I've always tried to make these items in dollhouse miniature scale. From time to time, I get requests to make functional items out of the items I make in dollhouse miniature scale. I feel very happy, and at the same time I am a little scared, because I'm not an expert in wood work. The skills/knowledge that I have can work for dollhouse miniature scale, but there are still challenges when you make functional items. However, I challenge myself sometimes by accepting such requests. It does help that the requestors are always so sweet and understanding :)

Here's a photo of a french rustic tray. This is a classic photo that shows the 3 different scales that I made. The 2 smaller scales of the french rustic tray are placed in the big functional tray. The big functional tray can be used to put trims, little knick knacks. As for the middle  sized tray, it is a new collaboration project that I have with my sweet friend, which I am very excited about!!

I will blog more about this collaboration as soon as it is ready :)
